Co-Sysops / Membership
Forkalope is free software. Co-Sysops help fund a shared network, get a visible relationship to a node, and help shape the recovery system. Independent Sysops can run the servers themselves.

3 Tines · node stewardship
Make one node feel like yours.
Tines support pooled infrastructure, recovery capacity, backups, and operations. They are not shares or ownership of a physical server. Membership does not grant profit participation or root access.
Not legal ownership. Not SSH access. A visible, useful role in keeping the network alive.
Your monthly Tines help fund servers, replicas, backups, monitoring, and the people keeping the network healthy.
View node health, capacity, software version, maintenance windows, and public incident history.
Request a region, name a node, opt in repositories for authorized replication, join drills, and take part in operator discussions.
An operating role / proposed program
Rent a server in your own name, administer it yourself, and coordinate the Co-Sysops who help support your node. You hold the provider account, pay the infrastructure bill, and keep the administrative keys.
Joining the shared network would require an operator agreement and approval. It is a separate responsibility, not a higher-priced Tine plan. Installing the software alone does not enroll your machine or authorize it to receive customer data.
The network we’re building
The proposed recovery network pairs approved operators, prepares authorized replicas, and reserves spare capacity. If a node fails, its recovery partner would help restore service while its operator repairs the original machine.
Recovery needs more than copied Git repositories: account state, permissions, other stored data, and routing must recover consistently too. We need tested procedures before enabling automatic failover or promising recovery times.
Proposed business services
Co-Sysop dues support the commons. A company pays Forkalope for managed hosting, backups, updates, migration, and someone accountable when something goes wrong.
The software stays free to deploy yourself. Managed, dedicated, and bring-your-own-infrastructure options can grow around the same open platform.
The rules
The proposed rules: no commissions for recruiting Co-Sysops or Sysops, no downlines, and no founder multipliers. The same published opportunity applies regardless of when you join or how many Tines you sponsor.
Separate partner commissions, paid bounties, migration work, support, and approved infrastructure work would compensate people for services actually delivered. Paid membership would not be required to apply. Rates and eligibility will be set before these programs launch.
Membership itself is not an investment or an entitlement to Forkalope revenue.
Read the draft terms and draft privacy policy. Final membership, operator, and payout agreements need review before launch.
